Timeless Craft, Personal Stories: Kelly Brook
Photos by Nick Smith
At Victoria Stone, our fireplaces are born in Verona — a city synonymous with craftsmanship, artistry, and enduring Italian elegance. It was this heritage that first resonated with television personality Kelly Brook, whose own life has become intertwined with Italy through her husband’s roots. Seeking a meaningful and beautifully crafted gift that reflected their shared appreciation for design, Kelly turned to our Verona workshop to create something truly personal. What followed was a quiet, thoughtful design journey that brought together British refinement, Italian tradition, and the timeless character of natural stone — a story we are delighted to share.

Q1. What drew you initially to Victoria Stone and our fireplaces crafted in Verona?
I was immediately drawn to the craftsmanship and the sense of history that comes through in Victoria Stone’s work. There’s something so beautiful about pieces made in Verona — you can feel the artistry and care that goes into every detail. When I discovered that the fireplaces were hand-crafted there, it just felt like such a natural fit for our home.
Q2. Italy clearly holds a special place in your life — how important was it for you to bring that Italian heritage into your home?
Incredibly important. Jeremy is Italian, and over the years I’ve fallen completely in love with Italy — its people, the food, the light, the way everything has such a sense of tradition. Bringing that essence into our home was a way of honouring where he’s from, but also creating something that feels warm, soulful, and deeply connected to who we are as a couple.
Q3. When selecting your fireplace, what qualities or feelings were you hoping it would evoke?
I wanted it to feel timeless — something that would anchor the room and bring a sense of calm and comfort but it can also feel energising. For me, a fireplace isn’t just about warmth; it’s about creating a focal point where people gather, where stories are shared, and where life happens. I wanted that sense of intimacy and beauty
Q4. Fireplaces often become the heart of a room. What does the idea of ‘home’ mean to you, and how does design play a role in that?
Home, for me, is about feeling grounded and inspired in equal measure. I love surrounding myself with pieces that have meaning — things that tell a story or remind me of a happy place or moment. Design plays a huge role in that; it’s how you translate your personality and your memories into a space. The fireplace really became the emotional centre of our home.
Q5. In your opinion, what makes Italian craftsmanship stand apart in the world of design and interiors?
Italian craftsmanship has such Integrity. There’s this beautiful balance between tradition and artistry — things are made to last, but also made to be loved. It’s never just about function; it’s about beauty, heritage, and a certain poetry that Italians seem to bring to everything they create.
Q6. What was the moment you knew the fireplace from Victoria Stone was the right piece for your husband?
When I saw the Calacatta Viola Piece with its soft, natural tones, it immediately reminded me of his family home in Arpino. It felt authentic — elegant but understated, which is very much Jeremy’s taste. I knew he’d love it because it wasn’t just beautiful, it had meaning behind it.
Q7. How do you see design objects — like a fireplace — as more than functional, but also as storytellers of personal journeys and heritage?
I think design, when done thoughtfully, becomes part of your story. A fireplace is where you gather in winter, where you sit and talk for hours — it holds those moments. When something is crafted with intention and heritage, it carries that energy into your home. It becomes a part of your life, not just your décor.
Q8. Working with a brand like ours often means a close creative dialogue. How did you find the design journey with Victoria Stone?
It was such a lovely experience. The team really took the time to understand what I was looking for — not just aesthetically, but emotionally too. They cared about the details, from the texture of the stone to how it would sit within our space. It felt very collaborative and personal, which made the whole process so special.
Q9. Finally, if you could sum up your Victoria Stone piece in three words, what would they be?
Timeless, soulful, and beautifully crafted.
