About Victoria Stone
1. What defines Victoria Stone as a luxury fireplace provider?
Victoria Stone creates bespoke fireplaces and bespoke mantels that combine timeless materiality with architectural design excellence. Designed in London and carved in Verona, each piece reflects over 50 years of heritage craftsmanship, marrying traditional stone carving and metalwork with contemporary architectural thinking.
Unlike a typical fireplace retailer, Victoria Stone operates as a design and technical studio, delivering complete fireplace projects rather than individual product sales. We manage the entire process, from the fireplace surround and material design through to appliance specification, flue planning and installation coordination, ensuring every element works seamlessly within the architecture of the space.
2. What types of settings do you work in?
We serve high-end residential, landmark heritage properties, private members’ clubs, boutique hotels, restaurants and design-led commercial environments. Our work often involves collaborative design with architects, interior designers, developers, and main contractors.
3. Do you work internationally?
Yes. While our flagship showroom is based in London and our head office in Tunbridge Wells, we regularly support select international projects.
For overseas clients, we typically supply the bespoke decorative fireplace elements, including stone surrounds and architectural features, which are manufactured and shipped to site. Full fireplace installations and technical scope, including appliance and flue systems, may be undertaken on a case-by-case basis, depending on project requirements and the availability of suitable local contractors and consultants.
Design & Bespoke Services
4. Can you design complete bespoke fireplaces?
Absolutely. Every piece we produce is made-to-order and made-to-measure. You may choose from our curated designs or work with us to create a unique architectural centrepiece tailored to your vision and space.
5. How do you support architects and interior designers?
We collaborate from early concept through delivery, offering design development, technical drawings (including CAD), material guidance, flue planning and specification support. This ensures seamless integration with wider architectural and interior programmes.
6. What materials and finishes are available?
We work with the world’s finest marbles and natural stones, alongside bespoke metalwork, carefully selecting materials to complement the architectural context and interior design scheme of each project.
Our team is always on hand to guide clients through the selection process. Whether you have a clear vision or are exploring options, we can advise on suitable materials, finishes, and proportions. We are equally happy to be led by the wider design scheme, sourcing specific marbles, stones or metals to align seamlessly with the project’s aesthetic.
Technical & Installation
7. What technical services do you provide?
Victoria Stone leads in technical expertise, including flue system design and planning, CAD drawings, CCTV investigations, flue route planning, relining and systems that meet required safety and performance standards.
8. Do you manage installation?
Yes, we can support turnkey delivery and coordination with specialist in-house installers or supply with full technical documentation for the appointed contractor.
9. How do you address regulatory and safety requirements?
We provide detailed technical documentation to support compliance, and our flue and appliance advice ensures that all solutions are safe, appropriate and aligned with current regulations.
Project Process & Timelines
10. What are your lead times?
For bespoke marble fireplace surrounds, our typical lead time is approximately 6–8 weeks from point of order.
More specialised designs such as highly detailed hand-carved pieces, intricate architectural profiles, or bespoke metalwork may require longer production periods. Lead times can also vary depending on the complexity of the design, material selection and overall project scope.
Our team will confirm expected timelines during the design and quotation stage to ensure they align with your project programme.
11. What is the typical project journey?
Projects usually progress through the following stages:
• Brief & initial consultation
• Concept & material selection
• Technical design & approvals
• Manufacture & fabrication
• Delivery & installation
Timelines depend on project complexity, bespoke detailing and site conditions.
12. When should we involve Victoria Stone in a project?
Ideally, at the project’s design inception. Early integration with architects, interior designers and developers ensures optimal spatial planning, detailing, performance and delivery sequencing.
13. Do you provide site surveys?
Yes, we undertake detailed surveys to inform design accuracy and technical planning.
14. Do you offer chimney sweeping?
Chimney sweeping is not a service we provide directly. However, we can recommend trusted chimney sweep professionals within London to assist with routine maintenance and servicing where required.
Costs, Quotations & Commercial
15. What’s the average price of a Victoria Stone fireplace?
As every fireplace we create is bespoke, pricing varies depending on the design, materials and technical requirements of the project.
As a general guide, a Victoria Stone fireplace typically starts from around £15,000 + VAT, which usually includes the bespoke surround, appliance, hearth and internal materials required for the fireplace build.
Material selection — particularly the marble or stone chosen for the surround — plays a significant role in the overall cost. Certain marbles are rarer, more complex to quarry, or require greater craftsmanship to work with, which can have a substantial impact on the final price. Bespoke metalwork, such as custom surrounds, fire baskets, slips or architectural detailing, can also influence the overall cost depending on the complexity of the design and finish.
Delivery, installation and technical elements such as flue systems are priced according to the complexity of the project, build type, and site conditions. Our team will provide a detailed proposal once the design and scope of works have been established.
16. Can you provide budget pricing for early proposals?
Yes, we can provide early budget guidance to support feasibility studies, cost plans and design reviews.
17. What are your payment terms?
Specific terms, lead times, and delivery schedules are outlined with proposals and confirmed in project agreements.
Aftercare & Warranty
18. What aftercare support to you offer?
We provide operational handover, documentation, maintenance recommendations and ongoing support as required, including servicing guidance for operational fireplaces.
19. Are your products guaranteed?
All fireplaces and services carry appropriate warranties. Specific terms are detailed in project documentation.

Yes, please share your concept with our design team. We enjoy bringing creative visions to life through tailored design and expert execution.
